Ce projet a pour objectif d’étudier des interactions mère-enfant chez trois enfants tout-venant entre 1 an 6 mois et 3 ans à partir d’un phénomène interactionnel au croisement de l’appropriation du système linguistique et de son usage par l’enfant : les rectifications (Forrester, 2008 ; Clark et Chouinard, 2000). Les trois dyades présentent des similitudes dans la production d’hetero et auto-rectifications, notamment en ce qui concerne les niveaux linguistiques en jeu (phonologique, sémantique, morphologique, pragmatique). Mère et enfant mettent en place de façon conjointe la capacité pour l’enfant de rectifier lui-même ses énoncés, et de s’approprier ainsi le langage (cf. Marcos et Rabain-Jamin, 2005 ; Bernicot et al., 2006). C’est dans cette collaboration étroite que se construisent les capacités à la fois linguistiques, interactionnelles et sociales de l’enfant. Nous envisageons de poursuivre les analyses au-delà de 3 ans.

The goal of this project is to study mother-child interactions in three typically-developing children, all between the ages of 1;6 and 3;0. The main entry point is the interactional phenomenon that takes place at the crossroads of the child’s appropriation of the linguistic system and its use in dialogue : corrective repairs (Forrester, 2008; Clark and Chouinard, 2000). The three dyads present similarities in both hetero- and auto-corrections, notably concerning the linguistic levels at work (phonological, semantic, morphological, pragmatic). Mother and child work together to establish a way for the child to correct his own utterances, and in so doing acquire language (cf. Marcos and Rabain-Jamin, 2005; Bernicot et al., 2006). It’s in this narrow collaboration that the child’s linguistic, interactional, and social capacities are built. We plan on continuing the analyses beyond the age of 3 years.
